After 14 months of paperchasing and waiting, we finally see our sweet baby's face! We can't wait to hold her in our arms. She is known as "CC" in China ... so fitting as the name we had picked out for her years prior is Caroline Collins.

- September 27, 2012 I800 receipt date
- September 25, 2012 I800 sent to USCIS lockbox
- September 25, 2012 LOA (Leter of Approval) from China! Only 12 days from PA!
- September 13, 2012 PA (pre-approval) from China!
- September 7, 2012 LOI (Letter of Intent) sent!
- September 6, 2012 Matched! We see our daughter's face for the first time!
- September 5, 2012 Go to bed thinking we are never going to get matched. Little did I know...
- May-August Waiting...(twiddling thumbs)...waiting
- April 11, 2012 We decide to wait for a partnership file
- April 5, 2012 Our agency announces partnerships with numerous orphanages in China.
- March-April Look at some files from the Shared List
- March 1, 2012 LID (log-in date)!!!
- February 15, 2012 Immigration approval back in my hands (thanks FedEx!), I deliver to agency and we are DTC (dossier to China)!!!!
- February 14, 2012 Immigration approval authenticated at Chinese Consulate
- February 10, 2012 Delay in home state getting docs certified, so I drove to next state over to have immigration approval certified. Whew.
- February 9, 2012 Received I800A approval
- February 8, 2012 I800A approval...finally!
- February 2, 2012 Washington DC background clearance issued
- January 11, 2012 Wash DC background check form submitted
- January 9, 2012 I800A reviewed, RFE (request for evidence) issued, officer requires DC background check for summer internship I did
- December 14, 2011 Dossier (minus immigration approval) being authenticated
- December 2, 2011 Biometric fingerprints done
- November 7, 2011 I800A receipt date
- November 1, 2011 I800A sent to USCIS
- October 28, 2011 Home Study completed
- October 14, 2011 Received CAN from DHR
- August 25, 2011 Home tour with social worker
- August 18, 2011 Received our FBI fingerprint clearances
- August 3, 2011 First home study meeting
- July 27, 2011 FBI fingerprints done
- July 20, 2011 Turned CAN form in
- June 29, 2011 Turned application in to Lifeline

ReplyDeleteYour daughters from China are absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing CC’s adoption experience and for sharing the very sad news of the loss of Danny’s dad. We hope “a shared joy is a double joy and a shared sorrow is half a sorrow”, as a Swedish proverb puts it. May this period of great joy and great sorrow make your family strong.
